A Meeting was held on 08.12.16.

Minutes of the last meeting were approved and signed.

Planning decisions, Mendip District Council.
1. Development permitted, class A, part 1, Town and Country Planning Order 2015/Demolish existing single storey building, rear elevation. Erect single storey lean-to extension to rear elevation/The Old Police Station.
2. Reserved (all matters) for residential development of 6 dwellings following outline planning approval 2013/2275. Land at Yew Cottage, Newtown Lane. Approved with conditions.
3. Create new vehicular access and driveway from highway/East St. Farm/East St.
Refused.

Erection of two bay timber garage/Bramble House/3, Mulberry Farm/Scottles Lane.
Proposed, seconded and passed recommend Approval.
Naming of Proposed Development at Yew Cottage/Newtown Lane.
It was proposed, seconded and passed the parish council recommend CARSLAW CLOSE in memory of Major Bill Carslaw (deceased), a previous owner of Yew Cottage and much respected 'Elder' of the village.
D.Cllr Greenhalgh informed the parish council there will be a Christmas Market in Wells from Dec 21 - 24th and Free parking across the Mendip Area.
Highways Matters to be reported:
1. Bad state of road surface/Scottles Lane.
2. White lining needs reinstating following resurfacing work, Windmill Lane/Down Lane.
Complaint re electric fence impeding pedestrians across ground behind the Church. Landowner to be informed.
