Correspondence Circulated and read by all present.

Letter from a parishioner expressing concerns he was not notified of Planning ref 2016/2520 for Erection of 10 Holiday Let Cabins, laundry room, storage shed and extension of existing spa building/Upper Woodlands Farm/Bradley Way.

Clerk confirmed Notices of Meetings, Agendas and Minutes are posted on the village noticeboard at the Village Hall and the parish council website westpennard.org.uk and that Mendip District Council are responsible for notifying neighbours of planning applications.

Finance:  1.  Cheque drawn for £70.00, Footpath clearance Inistor to Mulberry.

              2.  Proposed, seconded and passed,  a cheque was drawn for £1000.00, West Pennard Parochial Church Council, Upkeep of the Churchyard.

              3.  Proposed, seconded and passed, a cheque was drawn for £1000.00, West Pennard Village Hall Management Committee, Upkeep of the Village Hall.

Planning:

Planning Decision, Mendip District Council:  Demolition of existing store and terrace and erection of two-storey extension (Amended Plans received 22.08.16 reducing scheme to single storey extension only)/Mystics Barn/Scottles Lane.  Householder Application and Listed Building Consent.  APPROVED.

Planning Applications:

1.  Erection single storey Glazed Canopy/1, Gifford Drive.

Proposed, seconded and passed Recommend Approval.

 

2.  Provision of Holiday Lodge in the grounds of The Forge/East St.

Proposed, seconded and passed Recommend Approval.

Planning Board Meeting, Mendip District Council attended by Chairman and Clerk, 19.10.16 re Yew Cottage. Planning for 6 dwellings.

Chairman reported The Board Approved the Application.

D.Cllr Hewett-Cooper, Chairman of The Board replied The Board had no grounds on which to refuse it and that despite the Parish Council having grave concerns re access and safety Somerset County Council Highways deemed it safe.

He also stated smaller houses are neded in the village and that there are no development limits in West Pennard.

Clerk reported Highways Matters were reported after the last meeting.

D. Creed reported further fly-tipping on Pennard Hill has been dealt with by Mendip District Council.
