Minutes of Meeting 28.06.16.

Minutes of the last meeting were approved and signed.
Matters arising: M. Colman reported there will be a school governors' meeting in two weeks and will report at the next meeting.
Correspondence: Circulated.
Finance: Cheque drawn £354.10 Aon Uk Ltd. Insurance
Cheque drawn £2,000. Clerk's wage.
Receipt of £516.00. Somerset Association of local Councils. Transparency Fund.
Planning: Proposed demolition of existing store and terrace and erection of 2-storey extension/Mystics Barn/Scottles lane. Recommend Approval.
Highways Matters:
Clerk reported yellow markings appertaining to warning school signs will be repainted within 8 weeks.
Following reporting the dangerous state of the roads on Pennard Hill 'temporary road surface' signs have been erected.
Cars left in Newtown lane potentially causing traffic safety concerns were reported at the time of the Glastonbury Festival. N.B. To ensure Newtown lane is a clearway on future Glastonbury Festival dates.
Request for Coxbridge sign to be reinstated. Clerk to report.

D.Cllr Greenhalgh confirmed there are no plans for a gypsy/traveller site in West Pennard.
Confusion may arise on land searches ref existing and merging plans for property/area: It is a matter of record Mendip District Council intend to prepare a site-allocations Plan for Gypsies and Travellers for the Mendip District.
Therefore this could be interpreted as applicable to a property as a pose to the mendip area.
It was suggested Mendip District Council need to reword the documentation to ensure no misinterpretation.
There has been regrouping in the district council - 6 cabinet members and 4 cabinet assistants (other councillors).
Since restructuring there are 2 deputy chief executives and group managers.
There will be a Devolution update on July 11th which DCllr Greenhalgh will report at the next parish council .

Planning for erection of a Mobile Home at Griffins House/Stickleball lane has been recommended for approval.
