Planning: Proposed mixed use comprising: 1 continuing agricultural use 2 continuation of annual festival on a permanent basis 3 continuation of the annual Pilton Party 4 permanent regularisation of pyramid structure and festival storage building and 5 provision of areas to accommodate the temporary festival workforce (amended description and plans 06.02.23)/Land at and adjacent to Worthy Farm/Worthy Lane/Pilton/Planning Ref 2022/2458/FUL.

The following observations were made:-

The festival has increased at source and affects all neighbouring villages (note previous comment re festival vehicles parked in Bradley Lane causing problems).

This would appear, essentially to be a permanent one-off application to permit the festival without review;  therefore -

The application should be reviewed regularly.

It was suggested the festival has outgrown it's original location and has become too big.

It does have an effect on other villages and these have to be protected.

There are also environmental issues as a direct cause of the festival both to flora, fauna, noise levels, visuals such as the searchlights which disturbed livestock and the effect it has on the surrounding villages generally.

This to be conveyed to planning, MDC.

A.O.B.

T. Holley informed the parish council an eco-group has been formed in the village.

It was suggested they might like to attend parish council meetings.

There being no further business the meeting was closed.
