Minutes of the last meeting were approved and signed.
Public Speaking-time:-
1. I. Goodby addressed the meeting re the feasibility of having a zebra crossing outside the village hall for the school children. The Hall is used by parents as parking to walk their children to and from the school. The school also uses the hall facilities for the children.
2. D. Ewing, Chair of the Jubillee Committee gave an address highlighting the proposed activities. Funding for the events estimated to cost £2,800. Funding has been applied for from the Arts Council. A donation from the Parish Council was put before the meeting.
M. Colman, D. Ewing and I. Goodby left the meeting at 8.16pm.
Matters arising from the last minutes.
Bradley Way has now deteriorated very badly.
A. Creed to liase with SCC Highways to arrange a site meeting.
Correspondence.
Having put the matter to SCC Highways Clerk reported having received a reply from E. Fletcher, Traffic Engineer re query for a zebra crossing at the hall.
This would be considered a small improvement scheme and as such to be put forward for consideration by our County Councillor.

Temporary Road Closures (also posted on village noticeboard)-
1st March 2022 for 7 days - Lottisham road, West Bradley - Contracts to carry out works to build a concrete chamber on behalf of BT Openreach. NB Access for Emergency vehicles is not permitted.
14th March 2022 for 3 days - (09.30 to 15.30) - BT Openreach to lay new duct.
Planning.
1. Change of use of Land from Agricultural to Residential and creation of New Driveway/Land SW of Newtown Farm/Planning Ref 2022/0183/FUL.
S. Oliver spoke in support of the above explaining access to the stables would make this a safer route for the two houses. The 10' gap re Garden Hedge will be professionally refilled by shrubs and re-wilded and there will be better access for maintenance of Power Lines and the main sewer.
It was proposed, seconded and passed Recommend Approval.
2. Erection of single storey rear and side extension and rear patio/decking area and new cladding and roof finishes to existing dwelling/Sunrays/Newtown Lane/Planning Ref 2022/0216/HSE.
It was proposed, seconded and passed Recommend Refusal on the grounds that it is totally out of keeping, is too close to neighbouring properties and 'looks industrial'.
