Problems with parked cars in Church Lane during school pick-up times.

Report from M. Colman plus head of school's letter.  People affected are advised to contact the Police.

Elections for Town and Parish Councils will take place in May 2022.

Finance:

Precept 2022-23.

Letter from Mendip District Council advising to budget for £5,000 in the event of an election being contested but should an election be uncontested the cost would be £100 per parish/parish ward.

Councillors present thought thought £5,000 excessive.

It was proposed, seconded and passed the Parish Council Precept for £8,000.

Bank statement Balance to date £6,094.89.

Planning:-

Planning Approved at the Planning Board - Erection of portacabin and timber structure covered area to be used as roadside cafe together with a new pedestrian access (retention of works)/Land at 356544 139496 Stockbridge Lane to Steanbow West/Planning Ref 2021/1565/FUL.

 

1.  Erection of single storey rear extension/3, Laverley Cottages/Stockbridge Lane to Steanbow West/Planning Ref 2021/2614/HSE.

The Parish Council Recommend Approval.

2.  Lawful Development Certificate for Existing Use or Development for the use of land as a caravan and camping site and land used ancillary to that purpose/Camping and Caravan Site/Ashcombe Farm/Stockbridge Lane to Steanbow West/Planning Ref 2021/2247/CLE.

The Parish Council Recommend Approval.

Highways Matters:-

Request the Parish Council apply for a 20MPH Speed limit through Newtown Lane from the junction with the A361, up Church lane and through to the bottom of Southtown Lane.

Request for a map of the Sewerage system through the village.

Report Bradley Way is in a bad state with potholes considered to be a danger to cyclists/motorcyclists.

Concerns re caravans situated in the Layby, Stockbridhe Lane to Steanbow West to be reported to MDC.
