Matters arising:
L. Aldridge reported the yellow-lining as per minutes will be implemented.
Query as to whether the suggested 30' is enough.
The proposed will stop cars parking close to the Newtown junction.

Planning:-
Planning decision Mendip District Council- App for a lawful development certificate of existing use as a residential dwelling/Hazledene. Approved.
Planning Applications.
1. Outline planning with some matters reserved for erection of a dwelling with agricultural tie with details of access/Land adjacent to Southtown lane.
Request deadline for reply 14.02.19 is extended as the parish council wish to view this with a plan to be received for an agricultural building appertaining to the proposed dwelling.
2. Conversion and extension of existing barn to form one dwelling/Land south of Down lane.
Recommend Approval.
Mr. L. Wright and parishioner left the meeting.
Highways Matters:
P. Gurl reported Newtown lane will be top-dressed in the summer.
It was noted no notification was given of the recent road repairs.
Hedge and saplings growing by ditch in proximity to the Appletree Inn
In proximity to this a sign on A361 signifying a 'dip'. Same not yet repaired and water coming off a field causes a hazard on the road in freezing conditions.
These matters to be reported to Highways.
War Memorial:
Wooden posts have fallen down and are rotten. Discuss further at next meeting.
Overgrown hedges/brambles - owners of properties in Newtown lane to be contacted.
Overgrown footpaths - J. Tucker to make enquiries with the Probation Service.
Complaint re large holes in Hawkins field, West Pennard Primary School used by children after fence was erected.
Clerk to inform school.
