Public Speaking-time:-

R. Goodby, Treasurer of West Pennard Village Hall Management Committee re change of the village hall constitution which would affect the parish council.  Request to submit his documentation denied.  No further action until the parish council can view same to discuss.

Old Cider House/Newtown lane:-

Concerns expressed re possibility of flooding, groundwork and engineering construction plus importing of hardcore, cement and aggregates - supported by letters received (Copies of those sent to Mendip District Council).

N. Hewett-Cooper confirmed Mendip District Council have been aware of the situation since November 2018.  No planning application has been submitted.  He will visit the site.

Chairman confirmed having brought the matter to the attention  of the Enforcement Officer  who has visited the site.

The situation will be monitored.

Planning:-

1.  Extend and convert s/s garage to provide ancillary family accommodation/Turnstones.

Recommend Refusal:- Entrance too narrow to accommodate further development.

2.  Proposed roof covering to existing yard/Higher Sticklynch Farm.

Recommend Approval.

3.  Replace existing stables with new s/s 2-bed hol. let/Stables at Lower Coxbridge House.

Recommend Approval.

4.  Demolish existing pool building and construct new s/s pool building and garden walls/Whitegates/Newtown lane.

Recommend Approval.

5.  Demolition of existing garage, erection new dwelling and garage, widening of existing vehicular access and erection of further garage/Lippeatts/Newtown lane.

Recommend Refusal:-

1.  Proposed outside of planning limits.

2.  Constitutes in-filling.

3.  Proposed out of proportion in size.

4.  Access right on the corner of junctions Church lane and Southtown lane.

Planning decision Mendip District Council:-

Erection 5 Hol let cabins, laundry room and extension of existing spa/Upper Woodlands Farm/Bradley Way - Refused.

 

Highways Matters:-

Very bad state of the road, Newtown lane post new development at Yew Cottage to be reported scc Highways.

 

Proposal for Yellow lining, Newtown lane.

1.  30' from junction and A361 both sides.

2.  Between Church lane and Newtown lane.

All Councillors in agreement.
