Minutes of the last meeting were approved and signed.

Nil Matters arising.

Concern re sunken drain (81/2" - 9 " from pavement level) at foot of Church Lane. (Letter, Correspondence).

The matter will be brought to the attention of scc Highways as a priority.

G. Jepps left the meeting. 

W. Cowan gave a precis of new parish council website @ a cost of £326 for the first year and £131 yearly afterwards. The email address westpennard.org. uk was considered to be the best option and the website will be up and running in approximately  3 weeks. 

All approved by the parish council.

D.Cllr Greenhalgh  gave  a briefing re MDC. 

Decision re planning- Wind Turbine/Piltown Farm. No decision made yet.

Planning Yew Cottage. 

Further developments (Correspondence file) including asbestos being removed without licence.

MDC will not be taking the matter further as it is 'not in the public interest'.

Parish Councillors made the point the parish council's concerns were ignored by MDC inthe first place. 

Mr. Greenhalgh will research further and email the clerk.

Queries re Travellers' Camp in West Pennard.

MDC has no knowledge of this.

Mr. Greenhalgh left the meeting.

Andrew Creed was welcomed to the parish council and signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office Register. 

Register of Interests will be completed before the next meeting.

Finance:

  1. Cheque drawn RBL £25 Poppy Wreath as proposed by L. Aldridge, seconded by P. Gurl and passed.
  2. Cheque drawn £70.  Footpath Clearance,   lnistor to Mulberry.

Highways Matters to be reported. Missing sign, Coxbridge.

Deep pothole opposite Yew Cottage/Newtown Lane.

Dropped drain at foot of Church lane as previously minuted.

Complaints re hedges/vegetation  protruding onto footpaths.

Clerk to place request in the Parish News for people to keep same tidy and invite people to report any overgrowth.

Planning decisions.

  1. Application for variation of condition 2 following planning
    permission/RoseCottage/Southtown Lane. Approved 
  2. Erection of dwellinghouse and Guesthouse (mixed use) and garaging/Land rear of Briar House/Newtown. Refused.
  3. Prior Approval, Application to change of use of agricultural building/cider barn/Coxbridge House. Prior Approval Given.
    N.B. The Parish Council did not have prior notification from MDC.
  4. Alter position of existing access/Mulberry Cottage/Scotties Lane.  Approved.
